Yunior Marino’s furniture series blurs the line between order and chaos. He brings to life organic objects full of texture that give the utilitarian object a sculptural air. Even when they are functional and surprisingly comfortable, an overwhelming visual pleasure prevails. Every piece of each piece of furniture has been handcrafted, from the smallest to the largest wooden balls. The excessive patience and time invested remind us how nature creates, slowly. Like a coral reef, where beauty has been sculpted by the hand of time.

Yunior Marino completed his studies at the Instituto Superior de Artes de Cuba before settling in US. He has worked in different countries and has exhibited extensively in Canada, the United States, Mexico, and Cuba. For Yunior, the art of creating has no restrictions on the insular "being", but encompasses the larger universe, his paintings represent what "we are" and not only what we are as a race but "us" as a whole.
