Emerson Cáceres, artistically known as Cacerolo, is a passionate painter from Bogotá and publicist by profession who, with each work, unleashes the intrigue and curiosity of those who appreciate his work. Emerson was born in 1978, he is a Colombian urban artist who is characterized by portraying characters with the red lips of the Joker, a kind look and a red lock of hair that represents love. He graduated from the Jorge Tadeo Lozano University and stood out so much that he was exonerated from taking the fifth semester and was given a job in the cultural activities department of the university, while he continued his studies at night. With a marked romantic and classic style of painting, Emerson began alone, in his studio, to paint with oil. Between strokes and patience, between black and white, he began to explore the human body, focusing on the most expressive part: the face. As many told him, the great masters of painting have been the portrait painters; For this reason, his greatest influences for this type of painting are Velázquez, Rembrandt and, more recently, Chuck Close, who he sought out in New York to meet but never found. However, we could say that his greatest inspiration was the great master of surrealism, Dalí. Cacerolo has painted tributes to figures such as Esteban Chaves and Egan Bernal. His paintings can be found on the streets of his city.
